Why You Need to Travel and How to Make it Happen

“All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.” -Martin Buber
This quote speaks to my heart! It embodies my deep desire to live a life full of wonder and excitement. In general, the unknown can be frightening, but enticing nonetheless. When we explore, we stay curious and open minded about what we will find or where we will end up… and I don’t mean that in a physical sense. At the end of every journey, big or small, I’ve come out on the other side with a new mentality. I’ve discovered new intricacies about myself only that journey could reveal. I’ve grown my character and become a stronger, wiser human being. I chose to make travel a key point of this blog for a couple of reasons:
1. To encourage my readers, who have not yet been bit by the travel bug, to begin their journeys and open up new worlds
2. To manifest my own travel goals, because guess what… I’ve never been out the country!!

Traveling to far away places doesn't always feel like the simplest goal to achieve. We scroll through social media and see our peers taking trips and living their best lives. Just know, they didn't snap their fingers and pop up in a new country. You need money, time and a little courage to make it happen. You also need to believe that if this is the life you desire, you absolutely have the tools to make it happen. I am a firm believer in speaking/praying/writing/living things into existence. I’ve been practicing this for quite some time and it works over and over again. Living proof here! In fact, my international goals have just recently come to fruition. That’s right. My first trip is locked in for 2019! IM GOING TO LONDON!! It couldn’t have come at a better time. I get to share my world travel journey with you, my readers, from the very beginning stages. And trust me this is just the beginning.

That being said, “living things into existence” played a huge role in reaching this goal. I started budgeting for travel long before any travel plans were in place. I drew near to people with similar desires and let it be known that I was ready to hop on the next plane with them (traveling alone is cool, but I’ll take some company for now lol). Don’t sleep on manifestation!
If you want it; talk about it, write about it, read about it, be about it. Make it happen!
Now tell me if I’m getting way ahead of myself. Granted it most likely won’t be until 2020, I’ve already begun brainstorming my next trip and there are so many places I’d love to visit. I need a little help making a decision. 2020nBeyond is the name of my travel bucket list and it’s time to fill it up! Follow me on IG if you don’t already. Then post some of your favorite destinations. Hashtag #2020nBeyond and tag me so I can add it to my list! Maybe we can even plan an amazing trip together!
